Haha, I wrote all of this below and realized that I was a day too late. So I will not enter this in the i heart faces challenge. I'll post it anyway.
There are so many photos I thought about entering in the "i heart faces" photo challenge. Yesterday I was trying my best to get some shots of Evelyn during her ballet class. This involved shooting through a window covered by a filmy curtain. Something about the girls, barely able to be seen through this haze, sitting in a circle chatting spoke to me. Truly a "slice of life". So maybe you'll have to squint to get a good look...
(Evelyn is the one whose back is to the camera:)
Just a girl trying her best to adjust after our 2nd cross country move in a year. I am a stay home Mom to three little ones. Love: Starbucks coffee, my camera, making my house homey, and hanging with friends and family. You'll find I enter way too many blog photography contests (hey, I was actually in the top 10 once!) and you will see that I am a non consistent blogger at best, but my intentions are noble.

Sweet Family!
I took some photographs of this beautiful family over the weekend. I've just begun the editing but I'm in love with their photos! Seriously beautiful children, and sweet too.
Mom, hope you like the few I post here. There are lots more, these are just some of my early favorites.
Love this expression!
And they said he wouldn't cooperate! I've got tons of great shots of him!
And I just love this next one: I have included the black and white and color here because I like them both.
Thanks so much for letting me practice on you, it was a blast!

What I've been up to lately
I attended a fun workshop where we got to shoot a few Mom/Baby pairs in different lighting conditions. I learned so much!
And a couple of my own littles.
MacGregor!!
and sweet Miss Charlotte
Looking forward to dry weather (highly unlikely) so I can begin some fun weekend photo shoots. Big change may be in the air around my home. More to come (no. not pregnant.)

Just a quick note to say...
I'm going to the i heart faces "Dream Big" Photography workshop in San Antonio on May 20th! I put my name on the waitlist and didn't expect to get an email back inviting me to register. I am beyond thrilled. I am going to get busy and learn as much as I can before then, and hope to really make some serious progress at the workshop! So excited!!!!! Can you tell?

Before and After Blog Hop
Haven't done this for a few weeks. If you check my blog, you've already seen this pic. I'll show you what I did to salvage it.
Here is the BEFORE: The kids were playing and had there feet over the edge of the bed. I grabbed my camera and snapped, not bothering to change any settings at all. At first this looked like a "delete" to me.
AFTER: Then I just loved Mac's adorable little eyes popping up. I decided to give it whirl in PS. Yes, it's grainy, and way overexposed, but I saved it and I love it. (I already posted this pic in the previous post, you can tell I love it:)
All I can say is, digital photography is amazing!
Have a great day! I am enjoying a morning smoothie of spinach leaves, almond butter, banana and blueberries. I have a trip to Hawaii coming up in May and I am trying my best to look presentable in a swimsuit. The Smoothie? Is actually delicious, for those of you who don't like fruit textures, you should try this.

This makes me smile.
All three kids were laying on Charlotte's bed last night, with their feet, adorably propped on the footboard. I thought, "what a great shot that would make. Just the feet from down on the floor!" I grabbed my camera tried to quickly compose a shot. It was nighttime and my camera settings were not correct, but I did it anyway. This is what happened the second I snapped. And Wow. This is not the picture I was aiming to take, but it is to me, that sort of once in a lifetime photo. Didn't plan it, and I'm in love. I don't care that there is incredible grain and there was a terrible blue color cast. I played around with black and white actions and came up with this look.
This is the kind of photo, that I, as a mother will treasure. It makes me smile.
