but for some reason, something about Evelyn just begs to be photographed. That's all. Good Evening.
Just a girl trying her best to adjust after our 2nd cross country move in a year. I am a stay home Mom to three little ones. Love: Starbucks coffee, my camera, making my house homey, and hanging with friends and family. You'll find I enter way too many blog photography contests (hey, I was actually in the top 10 once!) and you will see that I am a non consistent blogger at best, but my intentions are noble.

Valentine's Ramblings
Today, in an effort to be Valentine-ish, I searched for a recent photo of Monte and I together. Hmmm. Couldn't find one. I went back to an old Shutterfly account and came across a few wedding photos. I started thinking back to that time and feeling nostalgic for the way things were. 7 years and 3 kids later, I often find that "We" are not a priority. Life just takes over and there barely seems time for a quick "hello" at the end of the day. But the life we are living today? It's exactly what I would have wanted for myself back then. So in a sense, I would say we really are living "Happily Ever After". The End.

Good Reason to Carry My Camera With Me part 2
I took this shot of Evelyn as we were getting ready to get in the car after art class. It's become a new favorite.
I love my sweet girl! Also am loving the Lovestruck 2 action by Pamela Topping. I love the way it looks in outdoor urban brick/cement locations.
PS. Again, disappointed with the way that this pic translates here on blogger. I wish you all could see what it looks like in Photoshop:(

Good reason to carry a camera with me at all times.
Often I don't think to lug my camera around with me. Just look at these adorable baby Mac shots I would have missed if I hadn't thrown it into the car at the last minute. We had a few minutes to kill waiting for Feliz to finish a meeting and I notice this lovely brick wall and funky staircase a mere 5 feet from where I was parked. I didn't even have to put money in the meter because hey, I was standing right there. These are some of the favorites I've ever taken of my boy. Note to self: Dear self, please remember to always have your camera within reach. Thank you.
And on a completely unrelated note, I was secretly quite pleased when the woman giving me a pedicure this morning commented that I must excercise a lot because my calf muscles are so strong. It's the little things in life...

Why can't I...
figure out how to make my photos look good on my blog? Especially the blog header? I have been following all the tutorials I have found online and sometimes the photos look okay, but never great. Also, with the blog header, how do I get it to look clear and crisp, like the pics look in PSE? The text always looks wierd too. Please, somebody direct me to the correct information, it's driving me crazy! I should probably just have my blog designed by a professional. Any good recommendations?

an attempt
I attempted to get a photo of the kids for Dad for Valentine's Day. While I didn't get any where all 3 were actually in focus (and barely even in the frame), I am a little in love with this darling shot of Mac. He has a piece of candy in his mouth (and I'm pretty sure it's something not safe for babies)and I actually like that sisters are unfocused and looking quite unpleasant behind him. This is a slice of our life.
