I don't tend to enjoy looking at photos of myself. I'm getting older, put on a few pounds over the course of 3 pregnancies, you name it. Lots of reasons I don't often want to get in front of a camera. Lately though, I have had fun taking self portraits.

I love it when Evelyn needs a haircut for two reasons. 1: Trophy cupcakes is next door to the salon. 2: cool building which leads to some fun photo oppurtunities.

Just a few shots I took of the girls yesterday. I'm husbandless this weekend (viva Las Vegas), so I don't have much time, I'll post some more that I got from this shoot later. I am in love with some of the pics. Just love Grungy/glam Evelyn. Love, love, love! I thought the new action from Paint the Moon called "Jubilee"(also a Freebie!) worked so wonderfully on these.

Sparkly

Joining in this week's "Paper Mama" challenge where the theme is "sparkly". Maybe it's a stretch, but this pic of Evelyn captures her glittery butterfly wings AND her sparkling personality.

I love, love, love, taking photos of Evelyn! She has a series of "poses" and just seems to naturally flow into them depending on what she's feeling at the moment. Future supermodel?

Before and After Blog Hop

My sister lives way up on a hill out in the country. While there are many beautiful things to photograph there, I just couldn't stop wanting to photograph these old trucks that are just down the hill. Normally this is not the type of pic I take, but I wanted to do something different.



After: Sadly, I can't remember exactly what I did. I know it involved an action from the AMP "nostalgia" set. As well as a "stressed" and "antiqued" texture.



I like it. I think it added some interest to an otherwise dull shot.

best face of the year

I decided to enter the challenge at www.iheartfaces.com this week and the theme is "best face of 2010" I searched and finally decided on this shot. I love the look on her face, it so captures her!
